The only thing better than a dream is living it. And though the transition from the world of dreams to reality may be difficult, those meant to dream will continue to dream; and those meant to live it… will. The rising star Jamaal Marvel is no longer dreaming. Drawing inspiration from every decade of music, specifically the funk of the 80’s and the heart and vibe of the 90’s, he continuously pushes his creativity to levels greater than before. A Virginia native, this rapper/singer/song-writer/producer blends the best of all that is loved in Hip-Hop, R&B, Funk and Pop into a sound that defines the word unique.

In 2012 while stationed at Luke AFB he began touring with a small group, performing at local venues. His first album “Love & Imperfections” debuted in 2013. In 2015 he co-founded the fusion group Half Black, becoming its lead vocalist. Following the release of songs like Warrior, On Edge, Headache, Jane Doe, and I Scream 4 Noise, the group’s album “Evolution" debuted in 2016. He was also the vocal melody and lyrical creator behind the 2017 hit Daily, by the artists Rival & Cadmium garnering over 2 million plays on YouTube. The collaborative single “Power of Music” with EDM artist Cadmium also premiered that year.

He began working on his music series “Tales Of A Fool” in late 2018. In early 2020, he released the first single "SUCKER" from his second solo studio album garnering over 80,000 plays on Spotify and rising. His second single “Future Love” soon followed. “Give It to Me” an up-tempo dance track and his third single released June 2020, followed by fan favorite single “Mr. Man”. The 1st album of his “Tales Of A Fool music series titled "Tales of a Fool: Volume 1" was released September 30, 2020 and is currently on its way to going Gold. “Darkside” the final and most successful solo single from the album was debuted in spring 2021. The music video for the single dropped soon after.

Following the release of the music video for “Darkside” in May 2021, Jamaal Marvel dropped a collaboration track with up-and-coming Hip-hop artist TCvsChanze titled “Saturday Nights Lights”. The high energy funk pop track easily smashed through 200,000 streams on Spotify becoming his most successful release yet. Its music video went on to debut on BET later that year.

In February 2022, Jamaal released the first single “Give It To Me 1.5” from his upcoming EP titled “Tales of a Fool: Stormfront”. The second single from the anticipated “Stormfront EP”that droped 3 June, 2022 followed by the full EP release June 30. And on January 24 Artist TCvsChanze and Jamaal released another SNL collaboration tittled SNL Party Pack with 3 new remixes of the original hit.

Weaving together instrumentals that vibe, relatable lyrics and a voice of wonder, Jamaal Marvel is a breath of fresh air! A must have on any playlist!

With three albums down, and a fourth album on the horizon, Jamaal Marvel is living his dream. The words used to sum up his journey is best said by himself, “We are what we do, not what we say we want to do. If we are alive but aren’t living then what’s the point? Live Never Exist!”
